European & Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP) 2017

The EDCTP launches 10 calls for requests for proposals to support clinical research and related programs in poverty related infectious diseases like HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria. The EDCTP aims at increasing the development of new oe novel drugs, vaccines, microbicides and diagnostic kits in countries like Africa and sub-Saharan regions.

These calls are worth approximately €153 million in research against poverty-related and neglected infectious diseases.

  • Treatment innovations for poverty-related diseases
  • Strategic actions supporting large-scale clinical trials
  • Clinical trials to reduce health inequities in pregnant women, new-borns and children
  • Targeting control and elimination of Neglected Infectious Diseases (NIDs) through clinical trials
